Business Owners Plans
Purchase stocks and business owners plans There are many book's written about the planning. Seminars take place
all the time, and many questions arise. But planning remains one of the
most weak, still very important aspects.
Am I very effective? Do I
plan my time well? - To answer these questions correctly, you need to
determine criteria of effectiveness. Everyone has his own ones.
That's
why there is no certain answer. Somebody plans very well, and manages
to send 50 commercial proposals per day (but how many of them are
financially effective?). Somebody makes two-three calls a day and is
very successful in business. Somebody spends lots of time with kids.
Everyone
has his own criteria of effectiveness. But you can use the basic
approaches to planning independently from your own criteria. This is
simply a stencil, which you can
- Fill in
- Change and correct
- once it is filled in
- Or... shelf and forget
So,
we are talking about the personal planning, but you can transfer the
approach to the company scale, if you want to. There are no doubts that
the personal planning is important for business owners. The same is
valid for managers at each level.
Algorithm of planning:
- First planning, 1 year ahead.
- Second planning, 3 months ahead.
- Third planning, daily.
Let's explain these points:
First
planning, 1 year ahead. Precisely one year, not two and not three. Why?
Because world changes, and we need to have clear measurable goals,
which you can achieve within a year. You can put a task for a 5-year
term. But, in 5 years' time, you are very likely not to achieve it, and
very likely you forget about it.
So, one year. I want to double
the turnover. I want to become the owner of the business. I want to buy a
flat or a new car. I want to implement something. And so on.
Second
planning, 3 months ahead. Precisely 3 months, because 3-months cycle
was set up by the nature: winter, summer, autumn, spring. That's why we
plan for 3 months. What are the goals to achieve in three months? Three
months will pass very quickly, and we will be able to proudly understand
that we have completed the tasks.
And, of course, don't forget to
fix all this on paper. If you planned everything in your head only, you
will successfully forget it in three days.
Third, daily planning.
Each evening, at the end of the working day, take a blank sheet of
paper and put down 5 main tasks for tomorrow. Exactly five the MOST
important tasks for tomorrow. And you will start tomorrow from these
five important tasks.
You can ask, I have more than five tasks!
And all of them are important!!!! - Choose 5 the most important tasks
from them. You can say: I have too many tasks, and I cannot decide which
of them are more important. It means, you have problems with goal
formation.
Important: determine 5 main tasks, on which you will work tomorrow, and once the morning comes, start doing it!
Strike
the balance in the evening, and start again! This way, you will moves to
your goal step-by-step. In three months time, reconciling with your
3-months plan, you will see which results you have achieved!
Summarizing:
The
rules of tasks' organization are very simple. But not many people
implement them in practice, because they have no skills in the
systematizing them. To simplify this task, you can create your own
template and try to put it into practice.
